TOP9 harry potter characters: female

here are my TOP9 female characters from the harry potter series:
1. nymphadora tonks
tonks is probably the most expressive character in the harry potter series. her appearance, for example, is always reflective of her current disposition: he hair is bubblegum pink when she’s happy and turns mousy brown when she’s sad. heck, she can even change her patronus just to express what she’s feeling. so, this is why i love tonks: not only is she brave enough to stay true to herself at all times, but she is also persistent enough to fight for what she wants.
2. hermione granger
hermione granger is a little miss now-it-all and not a lot of people appreciate that, but the thing is… she really is a now-it-all. she is, after all, the brightest witch of her age. what i like about hermione, though, is that she is not only academically smart, but she is also socially sensible. she has proven, so many times, that she is the most mature and the most sensitive one in the trio.
3. minerva mcgonagall
i like professor mcgonagall because she reminds me of my aunt: she is a great educator that is not only respected, but is also feared by most of her students (and colleagues). she is strict, strong, and honest. she is the kind of person that tells you what you need to know and not what you want to hear… and i think that’s what makes her admirable.
4. molly weasley
molly weasley is a typical mother: she is the mistress of the household. she makes sure that everybody eats dinner and sleeps on time. she worries even if somebody is only a couple of minutes late. she is critical of her children’s behavior, but is proud of their achievements. and like most mothers, she finds it hard to accept the fact that children are meant to grow up, live their own lives, and be free from the protective shield that she instilled upon them. her finest hour, in my opinion, was when she finished off bellatrix lestrange after saying this line: “not my daughter, you bitch!”
5. hedwig
anybody who knows me in real life is aware of this fact: i do not like birds. i would rather put a huge snake around my neck than stand in front of a bird sanctuary even just for a minute. so why do i like hedwig? hmm… i like hedwig because she’s the best pet anybody could ever ask for. sure, she can be quite moody sometimes, but she is fiercely loyal. hedwig has always stayed by harry’s side. she followed his every order regardless of how physically demaning they may be sometimes, but what i like most about hedwig is this: she provided harry the comfort he needs when no one else is there to help him.
6. fleur delacour
i really didn’t like fleur that much when i first read goblet of fire, more so when i discovered she was having private english lessons with bill weasley. what made me change my mind about her is when she said this after bill was attacked by fenrir greyback: “what do i care how ‘e looks? i am good-looking enough for both of us, i theenk! all these scars show is zat my husband is brave!”
7. luna lovegood
luna lovegood is different: she believes in the existence of nargles and the rotfang conspiracy. she fancies butterbeer corks for necklaces and dirigible plums for earrings. she even reads the quibbler upside down. luna lovegood is different, but she has never compromised her strange beliefs or fashion sense just to fit in… and that’s why i love her.
8. bellatrix lestrange
i would forever hate bellatrix for killing sirius and tonks, but i just can’t leave her out of this list. maybe it’s because of helena bonham-carter. man, she really is a great actress.
9. sybill trelawney
sybill trelawney’s has always been ridiculed for her shabby appearance and her failed prophecies. a lot of people, including hermione granger, do not even take her predictions seriously… and we cannot blame them. after all, she predicts the death of a hogwarts student each and every year, but none of them have died (well, that is, before the unfortunate murder of cedric diggory). we must remember, however, that she predicted the most important prophecy of all: “the one with the power to vanquish the dark load approaches.…born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies…and the dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the dark lord knows not.…and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives.…the one with the power to vanquish the dark lord will be born as the seventh month dies…”
i’ll do a male version of this as soon as i find a really nice photo of bill weasley.
EDIT: you can find my TOP9 list of male harry potter characters here.
